Korean Summer: Exploring Geumneung Beach

If you plan to visit Korea during the summer, it is strongly advised that you first consider the weather and plan your trip accordingly. For those unfamiliar with Korean summers, it is important to note that the "Jangma" or monsoon seasons run from June to August. During this season, hot, humid, and rainy days are the norm. However, after the Jangma, the heat strikes, prompting many to seek refuge from the scorching sun. 


Geumneung Beach of Jeju Island is one popular haven for the ones in hope of keeping cool..The beach ,beyond its crystal clear, blue waves, projects a beautiful view of Biyangdo, a small island located near Geumneung beach — explaining the annual phenomenon of tourists flocking to Geumneung Beach during the hot summer months. Indeed, there are many more reasons why this particular beach attracts so many visitors during the summer. First and foremost, the beach is connected to Hyeopjae Beach, another popular tourist destination To add on, Geumneung beach stands out for the convenience it provides to its visitors. The adjacent parking lot allows you to easily unload your baggage and other belongings, while the free shower houses offer a convenient spot for visitors to wash off after a day at the beach.

All things considered Geumneung beach outshines other seaside entertainment, with its cool water, easy-access parking lots, free of charge showers, and much more— you can even visit Biyangdo, the island shown in the upper image, andwalking  trails that take you to sites like Biyangbong Peak. Thus, if you’re looking for a cool haven during the summer, Geumneung Beach may be the place for you!
