Meet Kim Ku: The Leader of Korean Independence at Incheon Independence Park

Korea’s March is not only known for its beautiful blossoms but also for its history of freedom and resilience. March 1st, Korean Independence Day, marks the freedom Korea acquired from the Japanese occupation along with its brutality and sacrifices. Kim Ku (1876-1949) was a patriot who put in tireless efforts to force the Japanese out of Korea. As president of the Korean Provisional Government in exile, Kim Ku refused to accept Japanese subjection.
