A lot of countries have a celebrity New Year because New Year has a meaning of special to most people. Also, people are having New Year celebrity in different ways. Among the New Year celebrities, some people enjoy watching New Year special features. Today, Korean broadcasts provide Korean movies or other countries’ famous movies. Additionally, most people usually use streaming websites such as Netflix or Disney+. Furthermore, Koreans have their own streaming websites, such as Tving and Watcha. So anyone can watch Korean movies by using these streaming websites. Eventually watching a movie is one of spending New Year's celebrities. Especially, family and couple make their cherish memories and relationship also to be enhanced.
First of all, Korean broadcasts such as KBS, SBS, and MBC provide movies when Korean celebrities come because they want to make untradeable value to those who are alone or don’t have a chance to enjoy New Year's celebrities. The Korean broadcast usually provides Korean movies, and those movies are famous or renowned movies. For example, the broadcast provides Crime City 4, The Moon, Dream, and Count, etc. Eventually, people watch famous or renowned movies without spending money. Also, family and couple can enjoy watching movies except paying money and spending time outdoors. The movies can cover the disadvantage of spending New Year because movies are usually not watchable in normal days. Also, people can make their favorite cinema at home and they don’t need to regard the aesthetic of cinema, such as eating foods or sitting in a comfortable pose while watching a movie. So the condition of watching a movie at New Year is gratifying to lonely or boring people who don’t have any plans at New Year. On the other hand, New Year’s movies are not only for single people because some movies provoke warmth, which is made by movie themes of warmness of family or friendship, such as Swich, Dream, and Count, which provoke warmness of familyship and friendship. Especially family and couples feel warmness and the movies make audiences share their warm minds with others after they watch the movies.
Furthermore, Koreans don’t watch only Korean movies; they also watch other country movies, such as Eternal Sunshine, Forest Gump, Begin Again, Soul, or they watch top movies in 2024 to commemorate the end of 2024. For example, Dune Part 2, Venom 3, Furiosa, Deadpool and Wolverine, Gladiator II, etc. So people should watch recently famous movies and old renowned movies that they want to watch. The advantage of watching other countries' movies is that other countries' people create movies more than Koreans, thus they have the achievement of filming movies. It means most of other countries’ movies are famous and a lot of people enjoy watching them more than twice. However, Korean movies have not had a long time to make Korean movies renowned in other countries. So some people who like the aboard’s movies for satisfying their entertainment. Korean Broadcasts are notice phenomena that people enjoy watching overseas’ movies. So they offered John Wick, Amazing Spiderman, Transformers, and Home Alone last year, and people got a chance to watch free movies. Eventually, Overseas’ movies become celebrities at New Year.
Today, a lot of Koreans use streaming applications such as Netflix, Disney+, Tving, and Watcha. The advantage of using this streaming is that the users can use it anytime and anywhere. Also, some streaming services offer their own movies so people can enjoy watching them without having to go outside or make time to watch them. Also, streaming services can categorize users’ favorites, and they can also recommend New Year's movies to them. They can serve movies that are not broadcast, such as OCN channels. So people use streaming services due to these advantages. This service becomes vibrant when celebrities such as New Year's or Christmas come because they make boring people can cover their boring day and relationships between family or couples become closer by them.
